I'm not a big gamer at all but I would like to be able to play Diablo 3 when its finally released and I doubt the stock video card, an ATI Radeon 3650, will be adequate.
I dont need a super high end video card just an upgrade capable of playing newer single player games(not online) without bogging down.|||If your XPS 430 has a Core 2 Duo processor, then it came with a 375 watt power supply (model number L375P-00, Dell P/N P8401). If your XPS 430 has a Core 2 Quad processor would have included a similar 425 watt power supply.
The 375 watt power supply is pretty decent. It supports 30A combined (360 watts) on the +12V rails. That's sufficient to run a lot of good video cards, up to a Radeon 4850.
A Radeon 4770 would be a good choice. Those can be hard to find --it's a new design, and they've had production problems --but they're fast (only slightly slower than a Radeon 4850), and very efficient.
The GeForce GTS 250 also uses a newer GPU design (55nm) which makes it more efficient than previous generation cards. Those draw about 80 watts under load. The recommended power supply for a GTS 250 is one with at least 24A combined available on the +12V rails.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…|||Give the ATI HD4770 a try. It uses just 80 watts of electrical power so it should work with your XPS430's stock power supply, and it's an entry-level gamer card (a grade above your HD3650).
The reason why the HD4770 has gamer-level performance while using so little power is because it uses the new energy-efficient 40-nanometer circuits.
