Video card problem does it slow down my computer?

I have a ECS KT600-A motherboard

AMD ATHLON XP 2200+ 1.79ghz

512mb ram

RADEON 7000 AGP 64mb

Does the video card slows down my computer?

|||No, video doesn't slow the performance of the machine. Lack of video power may prevent some high end game from playing.||| A Slow System?

# Harassed by DLL errors?

# Plagued by constant Blue Screens?

# Receiving error messages and don't know why?

How does this affect me?

Every Microsoft Windows operating system has a registry. Your system registry holds a wealth of information about your computer, which is why we constantly hear from users that after using their PC for a short length of time, it no longer works the way it used to. This is due in part to invalid entries that exist in your system registry, that might exist because of software you are no longer using or software that was not properly removed. By removing these invalid entries, you can significantly increase the performance of your PC.

As far as gaming, yes that's your killer. as far as word / document processing, it wont slow that down. If by "Computer" you mean menu's and programs (other than gaming), your biggest problem there is RAM.

the ECS Kt600 is a good board, i used to have one. Pairing that with 512 ram and a 64MB video is very weak. =\|||If your computer is slow in general, you can try adding more RAM to gain performance.|||Do the math. If you are doing something that requires 512MB, and you have 64MB, you have a slower PC.
