Is an Intel HD Graphics card good for video editing and graphic design?

I'm purchasing a laptop for school which has an Intel HD graphics card, and I'll mainly be doing video editing and graphic design (using software such as Final Cut and Adobe CS5 programs). I know Intel HD is not the best graphics card out there, but will it fulfill the job in a satisfactory way?|||It's ok for video editing, but not good for graphic designs.|||For designing use
