What is the general Nvidia equivalent to a Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 Video Card?

I'm trying to compare it to my current graphics card. I am a gamer and I definitely need an upgrade. Unfortunately, I have to find something that is AGP compatible. So... it would be awesome if I could find out what the Nvidia equivalent to a Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 Video Card would be. :D|||the Nvidia equivalent to the HD 3850 is about the Geforce 9600 GT / 8800 GT.

it's relatively hard to compare due to the different number of texture units of the cards. also a shader processor isn't the same on a Nvidia card and an ATI card.

but i think these 2 cards are closest to each other

AGP is a dead format and nvidia has `essentially turned its back on the format and due to this only ATI offer decent chipsets.

If you are planning on shelling out money for one of these, think about a CPU/motherboard updrade instead cos it will serve you better if a little mory expensive.|||Hi

Like the previous reply AGP is becoming a seriously outdated bit of technology. If you are still running AGP, then maybe you should look at getting an entry level PCI-E machine and build your way up? But If you are dead set on AGP then the Nvidia 7950GT AGP is a winner. Check the link and hopefully it will help. Its a direct comparison between the HD3850 and the 7950GT. Hope this helps
