Question? How do you install a new video/graphics card for your computer?

Do you have to open it up, or can you install it online without ever having to open the computer? I am asking because my monitor is acting weird and the graphics look so funny now. Everything is grainy and distorted? Does anyone happen to know what the problem might be, and how to install the video card? Thanks.|||a video card is a physical component of your pc. you can't download it online. based on your problem, it is possible that either the video card or the monitor is acting up.

installing a video card is easy enough. you need to open up your case, taking necessary precautions against statics, then just plug it in on the right slot. install the drivers then you're ready to go. on some pc, you may need to configure your BIOS to disable the onboard video chip.|||What kind of video card do you have?

Download the latest driver from the manufacurers website.

also if you replace the video card it will come with instructions on how to install it. And Yes, you will have to open the computer case to install the new video card.|||you'll have to open it up and put it on your motherboard, there's a slot for a video card on it.

if you're unsure how to install one, you can always search on google which will show you how to.|||Right click on your desktop, properties, settings, slide the resolution bar to the far right. Click apply. If the display looks good, accept. If your screen goes "garbled", just wait and it will reset to the previous settings.

You have no business installing a video card if you think they can be installed online. Seek a professional if one is needed.|||You have to open the case. First uninstall the old card drivers, open the case and install the new card, then install the new card's drivers.
