My screen has gone pink, will buying a new monitor fix it, if the video card is faulty?

My computer monitor has gone a shady pink colour, ive been trying everything to solve this, and the main conclusion seems to be video card or graphics driver, but will buying a new monitor change this, and if the problem is inside the computer how will a new monitor bring my screen back to normal.

Is there a way out of this please anyone.|||You can only sort it out by substitution.as other poster said ,try the screen on another pc or laptop with a vga/dvi output .if its still pink then check the card.It may be overheating and full of fluff so clean it.If that does'nt work then try another card,I reccommend ATI cards as they run a lot cooler and are more evolved.Another problem maybe that you've added some extra hardware thats sapped your power supply and the vid card can't get enough juice, but this last fault is unlikely with a 500watt plus power supply unless its a monster video card.|||It's probably because of your screen problem. it'll get fixed if you buy a new one. But you can also get it fixed in the care center or in a computer shop!|||Try your monitor on another PC. That will you will know for sure whether it's the video card or not.|||You should change the new screen. Video card is not fault.
