Can I run a video card and a sound card in both PCIe x16 slots?
I have a video card in one of the two x16 slots. Now I want to buy a good sound card and I was just wondering if there were any issues about having two different cards like that in both x16 slots...or should I fill one of the regular PCI slots?|||It doesn't really matter, they'll both provide great sound. Keep in mind though that most cards, especially Radeon cards from the HD 3xxx series onward have High-Definition 8-channel audio built into the card and runs off of the DVI or HDMI output. The other option you have is that a ton of sound cards are designed to use the PCI-Express x1 slot.|||The Radeon 5750 will definitely do the job.
