I have a Asus notebook that has a Geforce 8400M G video card. How can turn it off if I am not using it?

My notebook gets hot where the video card is. Is there a way to slow it down and underclock my laptop when I am not using it for graphic intensive activities?|||you can under clock it, per se, but not selectively, you would have to re-under clock, and re-over clock it every time u wanted to change it.

sorry to spill it to u.

however, one other thing to mention, is that your graphics card should only get nuclear hot if it's really being used intensively, and if you're not doing much, and it still is nuking ur crotch area, you might want to have it looked at by a pro.
