Do i have to change my processor when i upgrade my video card and ram?

my processor is a Intel Celeron 2.93GHz .

so do i have to change my processor if i get a

-1GB ram

-$120 video card

?|||You don't have to.But consider that the celeron is pretty weak then you need to think if its a purely work station system or a gamer pc you want out of it.

Also note chances are you might need to change the motherboard if you do decide to change the processor.|||probably not...but i'd think about getting a newer pc if youre thinking to spend that much anyway...|||no you dont have to. unless you're going to change your motherboard along with the video card and ram..|||no. you have an LGA775 socket processor, that's the same socket that the core2duos use. The processor would still be your bottle neck but you would see a vast improvement in your computers proformance.

You would however need a new power supply.|||If your other accessories are in good condition then I will suggest not to change the processor. If you put a 1GB ram and a very powerful video card then it will be a very good combination as a home entertainment system...|||certainly no! it doesn't matter...
