Long story short I can only use my computer in Safe Mode. Sometimes it works in normal mode. My video card is either half fried or something else is wrong with it... Is it possible to use the least amount of requirements of my video card? I just want to be able to go into normal mode... Please anyone help?|||If you are able to go into safe mode, your GPU is not "fried," you need to install driver sweeper in safe mode, uninstall video drivers , and use driver sweeper to remove any vestiges of the video driver or any other video driver while still in safe mode. you should be able to boot into normal after that,where you will be able to reinstall your video drivers.

What is equivalent to a Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family video card?
I want to play some old games in my laptop, and its onboard video card is a Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family, as most of game requirements charts uses comparatives as Nvidia or ATI, I wanna know to which nvidia or ATI card my laptop on board card is equivalent to.|||See the source - benchmark info of most of the available graphic cards. As you will probably notice, Intel card sucks, you won't be able to play comfortably on it.
Where can I find an 8X video card for my HP Pavillion?
My video card on my HP Pavillion m7580n died, so now I need a new Pci express 8x (as mine can't support a 16x). I don't know much about video cards, but I've put a search for PCI-e 8x in every search engine I could think of and with no results. I have no clue where to get one... Any help is greatly appreciated!|||The m7580n has a PCI Express x16 slot. There's no such thing as an x8 slot, only x1 and x16.

My video card has S video plug, can I just connect it and go?
My video card has a dvi, vga and s-video plugs on it, I currently have a vga monitor connected.
Can I just plug in the s-video card and plug it into my TV and see what happens? I don't know if I should disconnect the vga first or not.
Any advice is appreciated.|||Some will plug-and-play as you describe. But others need to be configured for TV output. You shouldn't need to disconnect the VGA, but you may need to enable TV out first.
Also remember that the S-Video out will be much lower resolution than your monitor. When using that output you would probably want to go with no more than 800x600.
If your video card can support dual monitors, the best thing would be to put the TV on one and the VGA on the other. This way you can set the resolution optimally for each.

Which video card should I buy for my situation?
I've got a Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz chip and I want to put together a dual display setup. I've already got onboard video and I'm wondering which card to get to run the other monitor (assuming one of my monitors CAN be onboard video with a dual setup?). I have PCI slots open as well as AGP. I'm looking to spend between $50-$100, and I want to purchase it from Newegg. I'll be using it for Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and other various desktop publishing tools. How do I upgrade my laptop(acer notebook) video card?
I have a laptop and it is xp home addition and has a 224mb video card. I cant play the cool titles on my xp with this, so i wont to upgrade my video card to 256mb video card. I have 1Gb memory and direct x 10 with aboout 100gb space. I need to know how to upgrade without taking apart my laptop. I also would like to know how much this would cost. thx.|||Most laptops you cannot upgrade video...its integrated on the motherboard...|||well sorry, you can't! The graphics adapter is built into the motherboard and the monitor is directly connected to it. In terms of laptops everything is inclusive. All you can upgrade is the optical drive and the installed memory except in the situation that the memory slots are all full.
