I'd like everyone to give me their opinion on what the best video card is out today - which one have you tried or found works and for what games? It' doesn't have to be the most expensive elite card nVidia or AMD/ATI have out right now - I'm aware of those already - what I want to hear is what gamers here are finding works best for them and what game(s) they are playing. Thanks|||well i like the gtx 590 and the gtx 580 but i think they heat up too much and also consume a lot of power ... instead the gtx 570 or the 560 ti is a good choice .... also the ati 6990 ar the 6970 are also among the top 5 .... however it depends on your screen resolution and what games you are playing .... if you have a 720p monitor then a gtx 560 ti or even a gtx 460 is enough to play games like crysis 2 or splinter cell at the max settings with about 50 to 60 fps ....however if you have a 1080p resolution and wanna play the same games at the same settings then don't look at anything below the gtx 570 ...plz rate...
my specs :
intel core i5 2400
6 GB DDR3 Corsair RAM at 1333 MHZ
ASUS p8H67-M-LE
EVGA GTX 550Ti
Compaq w185q monitor with 1366 x 768 resolution at 60 hz|||Depends on ur resolution. Higher the resolution the more powerful card u need. Also depends on ur cpu. If ur running a game that loves quad cores but u hav a dual caore, then that will hold u back ( bottleneck). I hav a q6600 at 3.2ghz w/ a gtx 460 1gb, 4gb ram at 1680 x 1050 and this thing runs awesome. i'm not saying it's the best but it's a very nice, cool (idle 32c oc) gpu.|||GeForce GTX 590. Or the 580, they're both pretty powerful.
